The Mayor of Poole Councillor Chris Bulteel  and his wife Angela were guests at the annual Sprat Supper organised by the Poole & District Fishermans Association. Staged at the Jolly Sailor on Poole Quay, the charity event raised over £500 for the Bernard Ewart Appeal. Bernard, a former Mayor of Poole is battling cancer in Poole Hospital. A large contingent of Pirates of Poole turned out (thankfully in civvies) and the PDFA extend a special thanks  to Pirate Lambert, landlord of the Jolly Sailor who ‘loaned’ his pub, complete with live music for the evening  of frivolities.

The Pirates of Poole were on hand to help out this years pantomine cast which included Debra Stevenson from Bad Girls and Coronation Street to name but a few. I couldn't find the photo of Laz looking right up Miss Stevenson skirt but it's out there somewhere!!

Harry Rednapp opened the new Sandbanks Ward at Poole Hospital. The money for the ward was partly raised by the Pirates of Poole on our Harry Paye Day 2008 event. Cap'n Jim K and Rod 'Hairwave' Jenkins got invited along with other contributers to the opening and reported that the ward looks Brilliant. A massive thank you to all of you who donated money.
