Poole Harbour Bike Ride.
Saturday 21st August 2010 and starting at the Blue Boar at 10 o clock sharp the route takes the procession out toward Upton and through Wareham, into Swanage, quick stop at Studland, back across the ferry, then mad dash back to the Boar, 32 miles easy!!
This is another excuse to get the fancy dress on and raise some money for a local charity. There are of course plenty of refreshment stops!! 18 last count... We always rendezvous at the Halfway Inn to celebrate the life of Cirrel The Squirrel a very much missed rodent.
Be Warned. As a keen supporter of this event I've participated in several and on my last count I have lost: two bikes, one mobile phone, three wallets, and enough fancy dress rig to kit out a small army. I am beginning to wonder if there is just too many refreshment stops!!
